Pairs in Shadow (2020-2022) 9’9”H x 6’2”W x 4’6”D, laminated OSB, painted terracotta-like finish, painted steel. This large scale work expresses the movement of skating in pairs, overshadowed by the negative effects of Covid.

Sun Scoop (2014); 6’7”H x 3’8”W x 3’10”D; folded steel, powder coated
Selected by The Public Arts Commission for the City of Bremerton, WA. This bright orange folded steel work is sited at the apex of Pacific Ave and 9th Street located near the water front and ferry dock as part of the Pacific Ave Renovation Project.
Bishop’s Hat (2012); 32″H x 24″W x 4″D; sandblasted stainless steel (textured, polished) This sculptural relief was designed for the entry to the parish hall at St. Philip-in-the-Field Episcopal Church in Sedalia, CO.
Tops 1 & 2 (2011); 11’H x 5’6″W x 5’6″D and 13’H x 5’0″W x 5’0″D; folded stainless steel
Commissioned by The Colorado Springs, CO Urban Renewal Authority. These folded stainless steel forms are tilted at an angle to give the impression that they are spinning atop the pedestals. They are sited at a busy traffic intersection.
Slice Series maquette (2011); 20.5”H x 7.5”W x 5.5”D; 1/4″ bronze plate
This bronze vertical sculpture was purchased by Kaiser Permanente for the reception area in their newly constructed medical building in Castle Rock, CO.
Local Motion (2009); 17’6″H x 9’0″W x 8’3″D; folded steel plate, polyurethane finish
Commissioned by the Grand Junction Commission for Arts and Culture for the new GVT Bus Transfer Station in Grand Junction, CO. This interactive kinetic artwork is engineered so that the upper folded steel forms can be rotated by turning a wheel located on the steel column.
Synergy (2009); 10’6”H x 8’0”W x 6’6”D; folded steel plate, polyurethane finish
Commissioned by The Redding Library Public Art Commission in Redding, CA. This bright blue folded steel sculpture is installed within a circular site at the entrance to this regional 55,000 sf library. It is designed to be viewed in the round. This work stands as a welcoming icon for the 500,000 patrons who visit the library annually.

This model was purchased by the City of Redding, CA. for the city’s collection.
Get -Set-Go (2008); 10’0”H x 10’0”W x 6’0”D; folded steel plate, powder coated
Commissioned by the Carbondale Art in Public Places Committee, Carbondale, CO. This deep blue sculpture consists of a sequence of folded steel forms. It is sited at the entrance to the LEED platinum rated Recreation Center designed by JR Baker Architects.
Jester (2005)

“Jester” was selected and sited by the Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock, CO.
Sentinel Memorial (1994)
12’6″H x 1’7”W x 1’7”D; cast bronze
“Sentinel”, a private memorial commission, was presented to the College of Idaho by the Caldwell Fine Arts Committee for placement in the plaza area of the Langroise Center for the Performing and Fine Arts. This bronze sculpture can be easily rotated on its base.
Unit (1982)
9’3″H x 5’2″W x 2’10″D; solid cast aluminum; cor-ten steel
“Unit”, a private site-specific commission, is sited in Washington-Jefferson Park on 6th Ave. in Eugene, OR. “Unit” consists of two solid aluminum disks joined together by a cor-ten steel base. It is installed on a raised area for optimum viewing from high density traffic.

Gifted as a private memorial for a young girl, this work was designed to give the impression that the folded white form is ascending.

“Please Be Seated”, a private site-specific commission, is fabricated from untreated steel so that it gradually blends into the natural environment. It was sited to combine a sense of privacy with an expansive view of the Rocky Mountains

PUBLIC ART – assistant sculptor
1987: Assisted New York sculptor George Trakas with the fabrication and installation of “Bay View Station” (45’ x 144’) at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. Also assisted sculptor Alice Aycock with her 3D theatrical structure “The Islands of the Rose Apple Tree Surrounded by the Oceans of the World for you, Oh My Darling”.
1982: Assisted Jan Zach with the fabrication of “Marching Women” (11’0”H x 23’7″W x 3’0”D), a laminated wood sculpture designed for bronze casting in NYC.
1977: Assisted Jan Zach with the fabrication and installation of “Galaxy”, a tri-columned 80’ H sculpture sited at Lower Columbia College, Longview, WA.
1975: Assisted Jan Zach with the fabrication of “Phoenix” (10’H x 10’W x 10’D), a laminated wood sculpture located at Arcosanti, Paolo Soleri’s modern environment in Arizona.
1977: Assisted NYC sculptor Tony Rosenthal with repairs to his famous “Alamo” Cube (Cor-ten steel, 15’H) located at Astor Place & 8th St., NY, NY.
1976: Assisted NYC sculptor Tony Rosenthal with the transport and installation of a hinged Cor-ten steel sectional sculpture (10’H x 10’W x 10D’) in Buffalo, NY.
1974: Assisted Hugh Townly, Bruce Beasley, Roger Bolomy, John Chamberlin, Dimitri Hadzi and Tony Rosenthal during the Oregon International Sculpture Symposium in Eugene, OR.

“Journey to Paradise” (10’H x 20’W x 4’10”D) was sited in the Plaza of the Rockies, Colorado Springs, CO for Art on the Streets 2011-2012. The sculpture was awarded 1st place, $15,000.
Dec 2014: Recognized by the School of Architecture and Allied Arts, University of Oregon, as one of 100 alumni who through their work with “our built and natural environment, the arts and culture, and in public leadership and service” have made an important contribution. 100 alumni were selected to commemorate the school’s 100th anniversary.
